| Details: | This SSI course is for very experienced divers who are interested in becoming more independent as a diver and can independently prevent and / or solve problems. Not only divers who plan to dive solo, but also dive instructors, photographers, videographers, tec divers and other experienced divers who dive without a clear buddy at hand can benefit from this course. This course covers when solo diving can be applied and how this differs from diving according to the buddy system. It is an introduction to 'independent diving' (self-help) diving where the diver develops the skills, builds the knowledge and learns the techniques which are necessary for the diver to be able to rely on himself. That diving alone involves additional risks, speaks for itself. In part you will simply have to accept these risks, but you can also deal with many risks. That is what you learn in the SSI independent diver Specialty. You will learn how to solve problems that you normally can contact your buddy. So after this course you can plan and do dives on your own, but you also learn to be able to provide 100% for yourself within the normal buddy system. This is a course that is not for everyone and requires additional equipment which will be discussed when signing up for the class. You will earn the SSI Independent Diving Specialty certification after completing this program |
